For our final bonus episode we are joined by Dr Colleen Carney, an Associate Professor
and Director of the Sleep and Depression Laboratory at Ryerson University. We talk about the difference between insomnia and sleep deprivation, why adolescent sleep can be such a challenge, and Colleen's top tips for anyone wanting to improve their sleep habits.
Colleen has developed an online app called DOZe to help teenagers learn about their sleep patterns and make changes to improve their sleep. Teenagers were asked for feedback throughout the process and Colleen talks in this episode about some of the assumptions adults make about what teens want, and how professionals and parents can better understand and support their teens. If you want to try out the app or recommend it to someone you know, you can find it at dozeapp.ca
